Our Hotel Bären in Gonten is the oldest house in the village.
According to dendrochronological reports, the Bear was built in 1602.
In 1751 it was first mentioned in a document. Just like then, the Bären inn is an important part of the social life in the small village of Gonten.
Pure sublime
From the start to finish, it was a great experience. Warm welcome, efficient service by knowledgeable staff and the live music by local musicians added to the charm. Food was very fresh and presentation Michelin quality. Highly recommended
The kitchen team skillfully processes regional and healthy ingredients into dishes that always delight its guests. High-quality products, which are processed into refined dishes, are gladly put on the plates. Coordinated, light menus are served on special occasions.
Guide Michelin Switzerland 2020 already counts the Bear Gonten among “our most beautiful addresses”.
